the intermittent fan ...

A local beetle is flying around an aged florescent light hoping to keep itself warm without knowing that florescent light doesn't give out heat. Its raining outside. The temperature is enhancing our laziness to do anything. Everything seems to be in a stand still. The night seems to be forever. All we could hear are just heavy and solemn rain drops smashing on to the faded blue coloured with cigarettes butt filled zinc roof that covers the surau. The unsynchronised rhythm of it penetrates deep into my heart and reminds me way back home, of course the warmth of it. From a distance away, something interesting perhaps, something warm is happening.

The stand fan is innocently trying its very best to circulate the air in the room. Its dusty blades were spinning and making sounds as if its trying to tell everybody that the 3 of them were working real hard. The yellowish which was once white extension wire was stretched to its max making the sockets just reach one of the four legs of the bed. The miserable fan's plug is connected to one of its loose sockets. The bed was somehow rocking with some sort of a rhythmic manner. Besides the squeeking sounds, it interrupts the fan connection making the fan on and off according to the so-called rhythmic flow of the rocking bed..... So, why is it rocking....??

Its entirely up to you people to figure it out..... anyway, the incident really happen. haha....

The natural side effect of chronic boredom.....

Life currently is bored as usual, i know my close friend hear a lot about it already. What to do, it really like that ...I feel as is my life never move forward at all. Its being stationary for a very very long time. Time is passing rather slow in Langkawi then in KL. Don't know why. It has got nothing to do with the equinox and stuff like that. I desperately need to find something to do in order to burn my time and to avoid me from doing unreasonable things. That's where TVB came to rescue. HAHA ... I've been spending time, i mean 2 months watching the dramas below.

haha .... I don't have any interest in these type of dramas before but after start watching i can't stop! its like a curse or something ...haha. Luckily my suppliers will never go dry with dramas. I truly appreciate them. Love ya...
Sometimes i don't know what i'm doing here. I feel so lonely. My batch mates will go out party, drinking and have fun. I just don't wanna go out. The feel of having fun and spending money is totally not here. Perhaps i have quite a lot of commitment here as i'm alone. No parents to support.
I would just stay in the room and campus and just rot. Once in a while i'll think of silly and stupid things. I really miss you very much. I can't help myself from worrying about you. Maybe i should just let go. What can i say...?? TOO FREE DY I GUESS....
My friends in kl and a few in UK, I truly miss you guys. Everything is being put to a stand still here. I only go flying around 4 times a week and it doesn't take long, so the rest of the time is for myself. I feel really lonely ....

Mistakes ... :P

Aim for perfect flight ... That's what Shinkai always says in the Japanese series titled good luck. Unfortunately saying and doing is totally 2 different things. So, as a freshie in the aviation world, i definitely do many mistakes. Here are some of them.... but don't la so bad laugh at me.... haha :

1. I was about to depart for a flight, so i needa acknowledge the control tower.
I should say: " Langkawi approach, This is MAHA 06 on 119. 4, Good afternoon "
What came out from my mouth : " Langkawi 06 ......." then i quiet dy ...

2. When i was flying , I suppose to turn left to an island. The instructor told me to turn left.
The final result was .... I made a RIGHT turn.

3. Each time the control tower gives me an instruction, i need to repeat back. Its a standard procedure. One day, the control tower was giving this instruction to me " MAHA 06, you're cleared for taxy for training area LANGGUN 6000ft and below ......."
What i repeated was " Cleared to training area langgun 3000ft and below ....."
The instructor was like , " Chong, where in the world did those number came from....?? "

well , so far that's it ... Will update you all with more next time... haha

Tagged by Lai Lai ....

1. take a recent picture of yourself or take a picture right now..
2. don't change ur clothes, just take a picture..
3. post that picture with NO editing..
4. post the picture with these instruction..
5. tag 7 people to this,
6. Don't even think of tagging back to me..

* no one to tag * sob sob....

HMA, The CRASH all rounder...

Sigh .... There goes another aircraft, 3 more to go. How le... Today at around 4 something, my junior crashed on the runway. The entire aircraft was 45 deg with the nose facing ground, the nose wheel broke and the propellar is half buried on the runway. Fortunately the pilot survive the crash. This is what it look like after the aircraft being lifted .
This is what happen before anything is done.
Here's the humour part. My gang and i quickly rush to the runway and look. haha... We were like "woah" "fuiyo" "sigh" etc . We felt rather sorry for the pilot (victim) as he was doing his solo. He's definitely needa pay for the damage. Its was a very sad scene.
But... check out the fire truck wei, i think it was the first time in like many years it get to perform in an actual situation. haha ... I'm sure the fire suit was kinda dusty when the firemen wore it. Hopefully they are not cheering when the alarm was on as it was really long before they get to be in action. haha ...

maiden flight ...

After years of waiting and suffering in studies plus enduring the pressure and stress of examinations.... finally i get to fly. My first flight with me on the pilot's place. The first flight where every cadet will have to go through is a flight where we call FAMIL flight which stands for familiarisation flight. Its quite boring as the instructor only show us the training area and stuff. So it was my turn. After performing the checks and suited up, i'm prepared for the flight. This is the flight path. The red line was my friend flying then when he landed, it was my turn. I flew the blue path. Of course with a intsructor beside me. Basically he does all the flying and i just sit there and learn.

Langkawi airport terminal building. Prior to departure.

Just after taking off. Climbing.

That's langkawi airport from the bird's eye view.

Landed dy, taxying to the parking bay.

That's me, too free dy .... haha

Life so far is really bored. I can seriously feel each and every minute passing by. Most of the time i'll be like : hey, another 5 minutes just passed. Though it was real fun flying and lookng forward to it each day but i still miss everybody back in KL. I miss YOU dearly.

Sauna with wings .... :P

Phew...after spending a long one year in ground school, finally i'm in the flying wing. The main difference is there are not much studies and more on the practical side. The planes that are available in my school isn't really cool, erm.... they are also not really very shitty either. Its more or less the middle class category. My school has got 3 types of aircrafts, they are all shown in the picture below. The DA-40 and TB-10 are both single engine while the DA-42 are twin engine. The plane that i'm currently flying is TB-10.

I understand that the first picture is rather small, so .... this is TB-10. Its kinda small but its real heavy compare to DA-40 as its made of composite material.

That's me ... eddie just in case anybody forgotten about me. haha ... I'm wearing a stupid and funny looking life vest just in case i ditch in the water. Its compulsary for all cadet pilot to wear it in flight.

This is how is it look in the inside. On the left is the pilot's seat and on the right is the co-pilot's seat.

The co-pilot seat. Its possible to fly the plane from both side just for you guy's information.
So, why sauna....?? haha ... Its freaking hot in the plane. It begin to feel a bit cold when you're in about 2000 ft and above.... when you're on the runway or the parking bay, trust me, you'll be sweating as if as you never swaet before in your entire life... haha

new toilet bowl....

Sometimes when i come to think about my school, HM aerospace is quite sucky also. They can afford buy a big fleet of planes but they can't afford to repair headset when its already not in working condition. How ironic... So the consequences is, the cadets have to get their own lo. Its not cheap at all you know, stupid school . I got mine too recently. Its a rather cheap brand call Flightcom from US. This is how my headset looks like. Kinda simple and bulky ...

It comes with a small bag just nice to put it ....

Why is it expensive ler...?? here's why... Its has gel inside that will cancel all the noise which means you can only hear what the tower or other aircraft that is talking to you....

haha .... this belong to my batchmate which happen to be a girl. Its pink in colours because she likes it and of course its a little expensive. She rich ma, so what... haha

the result of boredom

so .... i reopened my blog. Duh ... anyway i think its because i'm superbly bored. No no, i should say boredom is my best friend now. haha... I'm like stranded in this pathetic island which is situated somewhere to the north west of the potato looking part of malaysia called Langkawi. Therefore i decided to burn my time writing blog lo. I couldn't think of other things to do dy ... haha... Hopefully you people out there will visit it when you have free time k ....
